Lifecycle Roadmap

Lifecycle Roadmap

The Nimbuz “Lifecycle Roadmap” service delivers an actionable and achievable 3-years roadmap for the operations of long-term, costefficient, viable IT services based on Microsoft and related partner technology and services. This insight helps to build a strategic IT plan which is aligned with the long-term corporate strategic plan and aligned with financial budgetary expectations.

The Challenge

Companies are looking at complex and critical IT challenges and opportunities in the coming years:

  • When to move to the cloud?
  • What do you need to have in place?
  • What projects need to happen first?
  • What to do with legacy?
  • How long are my on-premise products still supported?
  • How will a migration look like?
  • How do I choose which workloads to move to the cloud?
  • How do I do the change management?

The offering has a defined scope and is time constrained over 3 weeks. The service is delivered in the format of strategic, facilitated workshops. During the workshops, our architect leads the initiative, collaborating with the customer team, towards an actionable and achievable 3- year roadmap, presented in a final workshop.

What is the result?

  • Overview of the Microsoft Support Lifecycle policies for online (Azure, Office 365) and on-premise technologies for your current installed based and your future architecture.
  • Overview of the Microsoft service model for Windows and Office and insights in how to change from a project-oriented to a process-oriented upgrade approach.
  • An overview of your planned, relevant Business and/or IT initiatives on a 3-years horizon is presented as an overlay on the Microsoft product support life cycle.
  • Based on best practices a series of typical project planning phases are overlaid on the roadmap.
